"The Scotsman was right across the street from the train station making it easy for two with women with a lot of luggage. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. The food was delicious and was available until late morning. The staff was amazing, and the concierge even walked us to the train station to help us find the right train to our next destination."

"Rooms clean, modern & attractive. Cosy bedroom, nice shower & fragrant shower gel with towels changed daily. Overlooking square, close to an array of shops/restaurants as well as entertainment, we went to the stand comedy club. Nicely situated hotel, both the new/old town can be explored within easy walking distance. Just a shame no full English breakfast."

"I was upgraded to a castle view room upon my arrival which was really nice. Reception staff were very friendly and allowed me an early check in as my room was ready. The beds were comfy and breakfast was very good. The only thing was that there was a bit of toothpaste not cleaned off the sink (it was behind the taps so I could see how it could be missed) and a shower cap was still hanging on the back of the bathroom door. "

"Very good welcome, arrived a little earlier than the check in which was no worries at all. Left bags & returned a little later. The bags were taken to the room, the room was great, very pleased with it in all manners. The location was fantastic & we had a great time in Edinburgh. Loved it & wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. "
