"Hotel itself was nice and cozy but it was clearly short-staffed. The few present staff were super friendly though. Liked the fact that they allowed us to take our kitten there which made the whole trip far more enjoyable. The room we stayed was a spacious suite with a comfy bedding."

"The historic inn areas are beautiful with much wood and thoughtful touches, furniture and decor combines comfort and aesthetics. The garden is a peaceful haven with lots of space and flowers... and Thames footpath is very close by. The only issue was that our room was not ready on time but the above-and-beyond helpful staff more than made up for the inconvenience and we had a delightful wait in the garden. "The hotel is closing to guests in order to take in refugees so not such a smooth operation. Not the fault of staff who were all friendly and helpful. Full marks to Kamman who kept bar open after his shift ended for late revellers. We were attending a wedding nearby so didn’t require full facilities. Breakfast ok but very busy. "

"The staff at Frederick's was so helpful and friendly and personable. I felt very cared for and welcome, which is nice as traveling can be a bit lonely. The only reason I am not giving the property 5 stars is that the pool was under renovation, but it won't be next time I come back. "
