"Almost everything was great. Property, scenery, animals walking around free was a plus. Staff was incredible. Only thing that was horrible were the beds. If beds were comfy, 5 stars all the way. We stayed 7 days and last 2 days were unbearable. But other than that I would go back. "

"This was a very low key resort. Nothing crazy which was what we wanted. Wish the beach was a bit better with the turquoise water. Lots of seaweed in the water. The resort does an amazing job keeping the sand clean from the seaweed. "

"Amazing property!!! Clean and very nice resort. Food is very tasty: buffet for breakfast and lunch, 4 restaurants for dinner ( italian, steakhouse, mexican and french). French the only one needed reservations and it’s only adults, and alcohol is with charge. But all restaurants are nice and a lot of options . All servers are very nice ! "There are many amenities offered which is excellent, unfortunately the staff does not give any of this information upon arrival and you have to find out on your own. Also the staff is unfamiliar with the property so it’s hard to get any directions to get to different areas of the property."

"If u are a beach lover this is not the beach u want to be, is very small no walking in beach and has a lot of seaweed Very nice small resort, food is good and tasty not lot of options but still ok..... make sure u do restaurant reservation otherwise u will go to room hungry(no buffet for dinner) very hot in restaurants and rooms are a fix set up of ac which made me switch 3 rooms because is very hot..... We did have a good time but i wont return here, im a beach lover. Service is excellent love...

Barcelo Tropical amenities are good. Food, drinks and daily events at the pool are good as well. The nightly shows at the theater could have been better. "The property itself sits on a really nice part of the beach. In fact you can get some awesome snorkeling. But the property itself is run down and the buildings are all under renovation it seems. It looks really bad. Limited Staff and really only limited options of food. If we didn’t have sens upgrade then we would only have one breakfast option and like two lunch options and only four dinner options. The food is okay but the Miramar which is an upgrade is amazing.
