"Gorgeous property on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We had a young family and found it perfect to relax after a day of travel around the city. "We were allowed into the room very early which was of great use for us. The room had a handicap accessible bathroom which was excellent for me. Normally I don't request accessible bathrooms but this was available and it was very helpful. Slightly handicapped US individuals can find local facilities a problem but this helped greatly and was much appreciated. "

The royal mile with all the shops and restaurants was literally a 3 minute walk. Arthur’s Seat trail was only 15 minute walk. Shopping district a 10 minute walk. The location was very pretty and quiet with great parking. The food was very good and all the staff were very helpful and attentive. What the Expedia listing does not say and their own website does is that there is live music every weekend, which can be loud enough even on the 2nd floor of rooms that sleeping might be difficult. Also, the parking area has only six spots for the 12 rooms at the hotel, so it’s not guaranteed that you would be able to park in their car park (5 pounds/day charge). "
