"Beautiful facility - we stayed in the lodge which some spots needed repair work. Not walkable or really close to town or train - need a car, as local taxis took a while to come. No shuttle available. Restaurant is excellent, breakfast was good. We are going back - will have a car next time. "

The only minor issue we had was accessibility - there is only a very small lift that we could only just fit our pram into. Additionally, as someone who is pumping milk it would have been useful to have a fridge in the room, which I did call ahead and ask about, but there may have been some confusion. "A lovely hotel in the most perfect of areas for exploring everything Durham. A little more tea and little checks of the room would’ve made it super. Only other slight disappointment was only small amounts of fruit at breakfast. Everything else was lovely including staff and general upkeep of hotel itself. Thank you for a great stay"
