"Good location close to the Minster. Room was on the main road side of the building, but we'll sound proofed. Some noise from the bar, but this is expected in a pub. Problem with loss of hot water pressure on the final morning was irritating, but these things happen. Clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on the food. "

"Loved the location so close to centre of York without being in the centre. Easy to park, friendly staff lovely rooms and cosy bar area with great choice of beers. First time stay bit we will return."

"I had an enjoyable stay at the Wheatlands Hotel. The staff were truely helpful and friendly the whole time. My single room was small but adaquate with a comfortable bed and a great shower. With a tiny car park parking can be an issue but the staff are used to helping with pointing out where off street parking can be found if needed. The restaurant is not always open for evening meals so dinning out is on the agenda and York seems to have a shortage of places with kitchens that are open after 8pm...
