Ample parking, clean and tidy room with decent shower. A very good hearty breakfast to prepare you for your 10 minute easy stroll into the city. "I had an enjoyable stay at the Wheatlands Hotel. The staff were truely helpful and friendly the whole time. My single room was small but adaquate with a comfortable bed and a great shower. With a tiny car park parking can be an issue but the staff are used to helping with pointing out where off street parking can be found if needed. The restaurant is not always open for evening meals so dinning out is on the agenda and York seems to have a shortage of places with kitchens that are open after 8pm...
