"Very unique hotel. So cool living onboard a floating hotel for the night. The room décor is lovely, as is the rest of the boat, and the staff onboard could not be nicer or more helpful. The breakfast was amazing (smoked salmon starter and full Scottish breakfast) and any time we called for items to be brought to our room, the service was super fast. It is not the cheapest but all in all, an excellent hotel and well worth a visit for a special occasion or just a well earned treat."

Hotel and rooms were spotless, cleaned and re-stocked every day. Bathroom provided everything you could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again."

"I have never stayed at a B&B before. A wonderful surprise. A warm and extremely helpful host, comfortable accomdations, great breakfast, and a great way to enjoy a stay in a great city."

"What I didn't like.. The breakfast. In the states most hotels (both cheap and expensive) include breakfast. I paid 35 lbs for a breakfast that wasn't worth $3. Cold runny scrambled eggs. Nothing on the buffet table was especially inviting. Service was nice, and table clean, etc. The following days, we went down to McDonalds and had better meal for 8 lbs. For the price that we paid, you could do better and not charge so much."

"Excellent refurb. Not stayed for many years but a vast difference from the Golf Inn days. Only point might be its a bit pricey in the Stables restaurant.. Also need stronger coffee in the mornings - stick an extra spoon in the pot please!"

"This place is a gem. We didn’t like our initial room and for a modest fee we got an upgrade to a very nice room. All the staff was friendly and the location can’t be beat. The only negative is the light in the toilet part of the bathroom is on a motion sensor and comes on and off whether you want it to or not. "

"The hotel was supposed to be in a central location but it was 12 minutes walk to the shops and then a further 12 minutes walk to the bars, so it was too much effort to go out for a beer and something to eat on Saturday night. In cold weather conditions, you really needed to take a taxi everywhere. It was deadly quiet too with no atmosphere. In fact, it was more akin to a gentleman's club, rather than a hotel.
