"This is the real castle deal! We were thrilled be allocated room 4 in the large turret of the castle. A red four postered bed themed room with all the glory of days gone by. The bathroom was located down a narrow hallway near the door to the room and that made for some fun too! It felt really special! The ghost of Lady Catherine sadly didn't visit us and we slept like babies. Dinner in the dungeon was sensational and drinks before and after in the lounge rounded off the night. Brekkie was fab...

"We got to the hotel early and they allowed us to check in early which was great after an over night flight. We had a room in the 3rd floor, it was spacious and clean. Couldn’t have asked for a better room. The restaurant on the first floor was closed for dinner that night but we were able to enjoy a great breakfast the next morning. Will be booking with them next time I visit Edinburgh."

"Overall the hotel was a convenient location to stay at. Without a car the bus stops to and from the city were almost out front and 2 pound single fares was wonderful. However minor problems were apparent during the stay. There is no lift ( although the staff did assist happily ). Our TV wasn't hooked to the antenna thus no inroom tv ( although there is a large screen tv downstairs in the lounge ), when there was a large number of people in the breakfast room the meals were mixed up or...

"Excellent location - 1 minute walk to Royal mile, grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping. Beds very comfortable, very clean studio apartment with small apartment size washing machine (very loud but convenient), Would stay here again! Staff very pleasant. "

"This property was wonderful. Directly on the Royal Mile. Large living area, well maintained, comfortable beds and amenities. Was a little difficult to locate. The gate to the property is in Bishops Close. The closest parking garage was about a 10 minute walk, so drop off luggage first! We used St. James Quarter garage. This was close to all sightseeing. Would definitely recommend!"
