"This is a clean, modern hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. There is a nice lobby entryway that leads to the open, light filled dining and breakfast room. The free breakfast offers many cold and hot options as well as some gluten free items. The room was well appointed and all was clean and comfortable. "

"I stayed at this property as part of a 2 week break to Scotland and to prepare for the Edinburgh marathon. The staff were friendly and efficient, choice of food in the Restaurant was good and I used the gym and swimming pool which were also very good! The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Portobello beach and either a long walk or bus you are into the centre where all the attractions are. "

"From the outside, the hotel looks run down and in need of decorating. However, the interior and the room itself seemed freshly painted, so no problem there. Breakfast was good, and our dog was well looked after. "

We didn’t plan on having dinner at the restaurant as much as we did, but the food was SOOOO GOOD, it was hard to decide to eat elsewhere. Desert was also delicious. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. The setting is in the country, so lovely views around the property, nice courtyard if the weather...

"Staying in the Tartan Room at the Dunclutha Guest House for one night was really enjoyable. The bed was comfy, the room was nice and cosy, Julie and Richard are very friendly people. The homemade Shortbread was lovely (Do recommend giving that a try) and the breakfast was lovely as well, They serve breakfast at half 7 but they were happy to accommodate to serve breakfast at 7am I cannot say anything negative about my stay, it was worth the price and if you are planning to stay here, Leven is...
