"We had a lovely stay. Beautiful walled garden for relaxing having a drink/meal. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Some of the hotel is a little tired, but they appear to be working on it. The bar was redecorated during our stay, with minimal disruption. Breakfast was adequate. We didn’t eat any other meals in the hotel, but the meals and afternoon teas being served to guests in the garden looked delicious."

"Very welcome by the check-in staff. Room ready and spacious and bright, pet made very welcome with no problem. Two night stay used the restaurant both night. "The Executive Room had a fantastic full length window that allowed you to sit on a chair and view the cathedral. A lovely welcoming slate mat with a couple of sweets in piece of fruit along with a hand written card on the table in the room when we arrived. A Lovely touch. Comfortable bed, Clean room. Shower gel / shampoo available in the room. Clean and reasonable sized bathroom. Excellent location for the city centre. Very quiet as well. Didn't use the other facilities through choice as we ate out. Parking available for a small additional charge. Although the spaces were quite small and you may struggle to park a large car. Would go back."
