I really do like the hotel and all facilities ,variety of food was amazing but I’m really concerned about maintenance since day one I ask to change every day my tv remote control because was damage and nobody attention my request,the second day someone try to open my room safety box and blocked ,we call security to unlock our box not action take it .

We had a terrible stay the first few days. But half way through the stay Faviola, Joshua and Daniel stepped in and saved the trip. Travelers tip bring snacks. We had gas station food that was better than the resort food. Literally everything was barely edible. Salvador our server in several restaurants tried his best to suggest things that were almost edible. If not for him we would have given up on food all together. I lost 7 lbs on this trip. The drinks are watered down and all shots are well liquor. The beach is dirty and full of seaweed so don’t let the pictures fool you. The high light of this resort was the hospitality of a few people, Faviola, Juan Pablo , Henry the bartender, Salvador the waiter, Joshua julio and Daniel in guest service.

I never in my life write reviews but I hope this review saves someone’s $$. The hotel is pretty old…very dirty…staff wasn’t the nicest to us. Our room had ants and a dead cockroach no one cleaned. Booked and payed extra for a room with ocean view and they put me in a room with of view of trees telling me that my room is booked and I can only go there in 3 days. The smell in the buffet was always unpleasant and smelt like sewer. The kids area was probably the highlight of our stay. One of the staff in the Nibbles were extremely rude and on their phones when we would come to get food. We had to wait until she was done snap chatting. The beach is very dirty full of seaweed and also looked like mud water. The Italian and steak house was probably the best places to eat here. I wouldn’t come back here and don’t recommend anyone coming here.

A nice resort staff are excellent and polite, my only gripe would be the hotel shop which is an absolute ripoff. I purchased a large bag of crisps and was charged almost £9. Other than that the stay was great although some what expensive. Expect to pay an average of £80 pp for excursions.

The rooms are modern and well maintained. The property is beautiful with several pools and places to eat. The buffet was great with lots of options and everything was good. The staff was okay, felt like a walking ATM that they were constantly trying to get money from through upgrades, events, products, trips, pictures….. liquor selection was poor for a resort of this price point and no real lounge to have a drink at to get out of the heat. We spoke with a couple of other families that this was there go to resort but things had slipped since the last visit. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and enjoyed the vacation, we may try another Royalton in the future.
