"A delightful Inn overlooking the lake. We were assigned a lake view room which was very comfortable (#3, Brontë). The staff was helpful and friendly. They were also attending to a small wedding, but we felt valued and welcome. "

"We went for our anniversary, we had an amazing break away and I cannot praise the staff enough, they couldn’t do enough for you. The room & hotel were immaculate. The spa was stunning and clean & it’s perfectly placed for a wander into town and only minutes from Windermere. Will definitely be staying again."

"Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

"Husband stayed here on his own previously on walking trip, bought me this time and we got the 4 poster room, billed as being best room in the Hotel, Room 12. Has dual aspect windows with amazing views and a jet bath. Restaurant and food was amazing. Nice choice of breakfast although trimmed down due to Covid-19. Free toiletries, tea/coffee, bed was very comfy and room very spacious. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Definitely coming back!"
