"This is one of the few New York properties that lives up to the hype. In a crowded city this apartment has spacious rooms with tall ceilings. Non-New Yorkers will find the kitchen small'ish but it is well stocked and had plenty of room to make a family meal. Double windows on the street side make city noise all but disappear. "Great stay, just for a couple of days in NY. Super helpful front desk staff saved me a great deal of stress. Location is a little sketchy, but that’s pretty much the case everywhere in this part of Manhattan but I never felt unsafe. Sadly, since the pandemic ended, many homeless people who were housed in hotels just got dumped back on the street with nowhere to go, so you will find them around the place, but this doesn’t reflect on the hotel, just on the general state of welfare in the USA. "

"Hotel was nice and beds were comfortable. Area was nice as it was really close to the river and only a 20 min walk to times square. Very busy and loud area though. Unfortunately the rooftop lounge and restaurant was closed for renovations. I wish we new before as we booked it specifically for the rooftop patio to enjoy and lounge there. There is no belconcies on the rooms. "

"This is probably the second hotel review I’ve ever written, but my recent stay at the New Yorker absolutely warrants it. Two things, in particular, stood out. First, the amazing staff. Besides the hotel’s prime location, the staff make you feel truly welcome. For example, the doorman remembered the name of my service dog. They consistently go out of their way to provide exceptional service with a personal touch. Second, the upgrades. Unlike other hotels that claim to upgrade my room but make no noticeable changes, the New Yorker genuinely impressed me. Without any request, they upgraded my room significantly due to my extended stay. The upgraded unit had three rooms, a terrace, a walk-in closet, two bathrooms, and a stunning view of Midtown. They got it right, and I’ll be booking with them more often."
