"This is the real castle deal! We were thrilled be allocated room 4 in the large turret of the castle. A red four postered bed themed room with all the glory of days gone by. The bathroom was located down a narrow hallway near the door to the room and that made for some fun too! It felt really special! An elderly couple who couldn’t speak English sat in the front lobby, often. I’m not sure if they worked there cleaning rooms or were a guest but if the worked there they made no attempt to communicate or help out, which was an issue because the front door to the building on a busy street was always left open"

"This property was wonderful. Directly on the Royal Mile. Large living area, well maintained, comfortable beds and amenities. Was a little difficult to locate. The gate to the property is in Bishops Close. The closest parking garage was about a 10 minute walk, so drop off luggage first! We used St. James Quarter garage. This was close to all sightseeing. Would definitely recommend!"

Wonderful stay for Edi Marathon
"Four of us stayed at Carina and Victor’s cottage over the bank holiday weekend. We were taking part in the Edinburgh marathon festival. They were so accommodating and welcoming upon our arrival, Victor showed us around and was incredibly friendly. The cottage is beautifully designed and furnished - the photos don’t do it justice! There’s a lovely private patio which would be wonderful during summer, unfortunately we had a lot of rain. They had milk in the fridge for us and also some tunnocks teacakes which was lovely. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious for two and then the sofa becomes a flatbed in the living area - it is on the smaller side but still fine for two adults. There is a direct bus a ten min walk away into the city and Ubers for early morning departures for the races were also reliable. We would definitely recommend their cottage as a place to stay particularly if you want to explore the outskirts of the city and be in some nature! Many thanks to Carina & Victor!"
