"Excellent Guest House - experience made even better with the very helpful manager - Allan who goes absolutely out of his way to welcome you and make you feel at home. Allan is a greta source of knowledge re the area and things to do / places to eat etc. Great Breakfast as well - would highly recomend this as a place to stay "
"We had a lovely stay at the Glenisle but I would say it is a bijoux hotel rather than a boutique hotel. We were on the top floor and whilst the room was comfy enough it was on the small side.
However the portion sizes at Breakfast more than made up for the snug sized rooms. We also had dinner at the hotel and the food was amazing.
The hotel is beautifully situated opposite Holy Isle with a lovely beer garden"
"The Lagg Hotel was like a haven for us. Our ferry had been delayed getting to Arran, so we were well and truely ready for a quiet peaceful night. We found the perfect place. The wooded setting, the spacious room and a fantastic meal in the Hotel's restaurant was just the tonic we needed."
"Fab well appointed little Gem is what the Burlington Guest House is. The location is brilliant and the bus stops 1 minute from the guest house. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well maintained and a great size and the sea view was fab. The Breakfast has a varied menu which caters for everybody and is delicious and well presented and perfectly cooked by Duncan. We had a meal on one evening this was tasty and service was quick and amazing value for money.
A special mention must go to Duncan and...

"Fantastic location on the beach, with a great view over to Arran. Great dinner in the Orangery restaurant and an excellent full Scottish breakfast. Room was very comfortable with an excellent shower. Great service throughout. We didn't use the spa facility, but the pool area looked really good."

"It was ok —- a place to sleep. But a little dissapointing …. The write-up by Hotels.com , and the price of the rooms suggested/promissed something better—— for us , it was a basic hotel, with basic facilities—- pub-bar type “restaurant”, -crowded and noisy and cramped—dood was pub-grub really — nothing special —- room basic with low budget furnishings , bathroom the same— almost travelLodge or premier inn quality—- a place to speel - but not worth what they charge "
