"Enjoyable nights stay in Brighton at The Oriental. Welcoming and friendly owners and staff who couldn't have done more to make you feel comfortable. Complimentary soft and hot drinks offered throughout our stay. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Service at breakfast was also very good. Will be happy to stay again. "

"I was charmed by the hotel's support before and after we arrived. The room was excellent. Be prepared to climb stairs, our bedroom was 62 stairs up. I will stay here again and look forward to my future visit. It feels like a family run hotel with up-market bedrooms and extras."

"A real grand hotel. Fantastic staff and fantastic experience. It's a very old structure though, there is no ramp at the entrace, so it wasn't easy to bring the buggy up the little staircase every time. Thanfully, the staff is so available and friendly they always helped. Will definitely come back."

"It’s a cute B&B place , very unique and great vibe. But remember this is an old building, you can hear other guests upstairs and outside noise. Also rooms can be hot - could the hotel put fans in the room? Breakfast was great , good choice and locally sourced where possible. Staff were fantastic . Would stay again ! "

"Great location, close to waterfront. Bathroom shower wasn’t a separate shower-just a shower curtain to separate from toilet and sink-no rim around it on Flo so water went everywhere Too much furniture for the size of the room. Kept banging into things and each other "

"Welcoming staff, who upgraded us to to double beds. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel can help you with parking, which covers until the following day at 12 noon (not 3am which the car park itself covers) so useful to know as was worried based on previous reviews. Breakfast was below average for me, we went down at 8am and found hot breakfast items stone cold. Otherwise a pleasant one night stay for me and my two young children. "
