"The curtains in my room needed a clean and I felt the place could do with some freshening up in areas. Aside from that, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is convenient for the station and town. I'd stay there again."

"It was an ok stay but breakfast didn’t go very well. It was very busy, peak time, they rewarded about queuing but the queues were caused by running out of food not because it was busy. Everyone was told at reception that breakfast was included but then they didn’t provide enough breakfast!! We only had a partial breakfast as there was not enough time to wait - we were down early as well! Staff were ok room was as I expected. "

"Great stay. Wheelchair access good except for harbour entrance. The tank trap trench, filled with pebbles, in a corridor??? Just brilliant for catching your power chair. Had to get guests to help me out."

"Absolutely fabulous place to stay - we had our hire car so it did not matter that it’s a bit away from towns - great size room and really great choice of meal options - restaurant and pub style both offered - really well equipped and could’ve stay a lot longer - very quiet and lovely view over the tidal estuary - east drive to Torquay, Dartmouth, Totness and extremely beautiful part of the world - loved it - this was a 2 night stay"

"The position is excellent with nice terrace and gardens, with a view of the beach. The room was in the old original hotel on the top floor at the rear and was very hot even with the sash window open, we requested a fan but it got overlooked."

"This is a decent privately run hotel offering a good rate. Very nice people and the room was small but absolutely fine. My room was at the side of the hotel, and was quite noisy from the road outside. Next time, I will request a room at the rear! Great breakfast "

"We arrived early for checkin and asked if we could leave our bag which was no problem. Only stayed one night but found it very good value, nice room with a sea view, comfortable bed and a good breakfast in the morning. Cant really ask for more. Thank you, we will be back!"
