Ultimate Guide to Shopping in Las Vegas

“Las Vegas has plenty of shops to tempt you away from the casino floor or poolside lounger. Along the Strip, you’ll find dozens of luxury designers such as Armani and Louis Vuitton, while a short drive away there are outlets to buy top brands for less. Further afield, you can delve into stores specialising in everything from vintage Vegas souvenirs to showgirl wigs. Find out more with our ultimate guide to Las Vegas shopping.

High-End for High-Rollers
————————-

Bagged the jackpot? Treat yourself at some of the high-end designer stores you’ll find all the way down the Strip, most open until 11pm or midnight. The Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace has 160 shops and restaurants including Gucci, Armani, Mulberry, Versace and Valentino stores. The Fendi shoe boutique is the only one in the USA.

Crystals at CityCenter, next to the Aria, has 50 brands to shop, such as Tom Ford, Lanvin and Dolce & Gabbana plus a two-storey Louis Vuitton store.

With over 160 stores, the Grand Canal Shoppes attracts around 20 million people every year. Designed to mimic Venice, there are gondolas you can hire, as well as ‘street’ performers, musicians and living statues. There’s also a Barneys New York store and big brands like Burberry, Coach, Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade and Michael Kors.

Fancy high fashion for less? Take a 45-minute drive out of town to the Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas, where you can snap up bargains from Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, among many others. In town, there’s Las Vegas Premium Outlets.

Ultimate Bling: Big Watches and Fast Cars
—————————————–

Luxury doesn’t stop at clothes. Head to Celebrity Cars to splurge your winnings on a Ferrari, Lamborghini or even Al Capone’s bulletproof 1928 Cadillac (that one will set you back a cool million dollars).

There are several official Rolex dealerships in Vegas, including one at Crystals, the Bellagio and the Forum Shops. Cartier also has a store in the Forum Shops, the Wynn and Crystals.

Whilst you’re in the Forum Shops at Caesar’s, browse the art at Martin Lawrence Galleries, one of the largest privately-owned galleries in the world. You’ll find works by Picasso, Dali and Warhol. Other art galleries on the Strip include the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art and the Peter Lik Mandalay.

Malls and Stalls
—————-

For shopping on a slightly less extravagant level, Fashion Show is right on the Strip and is home to 250 shops and eight department stores. Shop in American Eagle, Zara, Forever 21, Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic and Gap and then have a bite to eat at Maggiano’s or Ra Sushi. Several hotels, such as the Hard Rock Hotel, have shuttles to the Fashion Show mall.

Downtown Container Park is a collection of boutiques, galleries, restaurants and bars on the corner of Fremont and Seventh streets. There’s also a playground for kids. Among the repurposed-container stores is The Mantis – a 40-foot praying mantis sculpture originally made for Burning Man.

Ten minutes from the Strip, Boulevard Mall has over 140 shops selling high-street fashion, beauty products, furniture, electronics and food. It’s Vegas’ first mall and has recently been purchased by a local investor with a view to spruce it back to its former glory.

The Quirky Stuff
—————-

For fun souvenirs, the World’s Largest Giftshop has all the Vegas paraphernalia you could want, such as I Heart Vegas shot glasses, $100 bill magnets and Vegas-branded t-shirts. At the Gambler’s General Store, you can buy customised poker chips, green dealer visors, books on casino games and even full-size roulette wheels.

Put together the perfect showgirl outfit with a wig from Serge’s Showgirl Wigs (they’ve been doing it for 20 years) and a boa from the Rainbow Feather Company.

There are lots of antique stores in Vegas, such as the Charleston Antique Mall and the Antique Mall of America. Visit these malls when you have plenty of time on your hands – it’s easy to spend hours perusing the collections of kitsch knick-knacks, retro clothes, vintage furniture and costume jewellery.

Gold & Silver Pawn Shop (you might remember it from the TV show Pawn Stars) is one of Vegas’ most well-known pawn shops, buying and selling jewellery, antiques, art and vintage memorabilia. Another pawn shop, full of old guitars and vintage jewels, is actually the entrance to the Beauty & Essex restaurant at the Cosmopolitan.

Finally, Vegas is renowned for its choice of adult stores. Lion’s Den and Déjà vu Adult Emporium are two of the many.”
