Blogger Picks: Casino Hotels in Vegas and Manila

“Fancy a flutter? Whether you’re a serious poker player or just can’t resist the neon, when it comes to casino culture, there are two big destinations: Las Vegas and Manila. Both have a long history in gambling, but a rather different feel. Which will you choose – desert glitz or Filipino heat? These four bloggers pick their favourite casino hotels from both destinations.

Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas
———————————-

Chosen by: Turner from LuxuryLifeGoals.com

“Chic meets the desert in this over-the-top lavish Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, smack-bang in the middle of the Vegas mayhem. Whenever I find myself in Las Vegas, I always seems to gravitate to this upscale oasis. Whether it was hitting the royal flush on video poker at the glitzy bar on my 30th birthday (true story), or the penthouse my best friend had for his bachelor party there, this cityscape always seems to draw me right back in. With an excellent pool for daytime delights and high-end restaurants, no trip to Vegas is complete for me without staying at the Cosmo.”

Solaire Resort and Casino, Manila
————————————–

Chosen by: Maryrose and Reid from Wanderlustyle

Solaire Resort and Casino in Manila is one of the most extravagant casino hotels we have had the pleasure of staying in! It’s high-end and luxurious while keeping a family ambiance. The main attraction for the hotel is its casino, which you can see on entering. The casino, the luxury shopping and amazing eateries were jaw-dropping. The hospitality of the staff and elaborate design of this hotel far exceeded our expectations.”

The Venetian Resort, Las Vegas
———————————–

Chosen by: Gary from the Foodaholic

“The five-star Venetian Las Vegas is an institution on the strip and is packed full of Italian-inspired architecture. Rooms have huge whirlpool tubs, roaring fireplaces and some of the best room service you’ll ever come across. Downstairs you can spend your day shopping in the Italian-themed complex, relaxing in the outdoor pool or, of course, the casino. It’s lined with stunning Venetian-style canals, where you can even go on a gondola ride!”

Okada Manila
—————–

Chosen by: Melo from Out of Town Blog

“I experienced this luxurious icon of Manila first-hand with a stay of three days and two nights at Okada Manila. I love that there are over 20 dining choices in this casino-and-hotel complex, and was also surprised how Cove Club was just perfect for serious party-goers. I would also recommend some retail therapy for those who are planning to stay at this casino resort.”
