Great place to be if you are looking for somewhere central. Access to transportation is readily available. The subway station entrance is just in front of the hotel entrance; and several bus stops are only a minute walking distance away. The buffet breakfast was tasty and had a variety of meals that catered for various dietary requirements.

Seoul Garden has become my go-to hotel in Seoul, with easy access to several Incheon Airport limousine buse routes as well as the subway line to Gimpo Airport and/or the city centre. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and tastefully decorated. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores in the neighbourhood to provide food and other essentials. I had a very enjoyable stay.

Fantastic for V tourists

If you want something different than the large global chains offer, this is an excellent choice. It is a boutique hotel with a very specific, rich and detailed 18th-19th century French ambience but there is no compromise on quality. Rooms were decent size, beds are comfortable, bathroom rather large, clean and well equipped. The staff is extremely polite and want to please. The buffet breakfast has plenty of variations for you don't have it twice the same thing for more than a week. The locations is excellent, two large shopping area is in 2-5 minutes walk, plenty of tourist attraction is easily walkable public transportation or taxis are readily available.

The Shilla Seoul was a wonderful hotel. The service was excellent and it is gorgeous. The staff was at your service. The food was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Staff's attention to detail was fantastic. Property location is perfect, within walking distance to all the main attractions in Insadong. Room size is great and the bed was excellent. Free lockers for luggage available on site and really easy to use. 12:00 PM check out is also a nice bonus. Nice ammenities with good selection of tea and coffee. Loved our stay there and will definitely book again next time in Seoul.

Hotel Myeongdongjang is a 'standout' hotel, one of the best we've stayed at over many years of travel. About us: Family of four with kids aged 16 and 13, we stayed in a Deluxe Quadruple Room over 5 nights. For our South Korea holiday, we stayed at Hotel Myeongdongjang (Myeongdong), Solaria Hotel (Busan) and Mohenic Hotel (Myeongdong), Myeongdongjang was definitely our favourite overall. About the hotel: Room - great layout with plenty of room for 4. Kids loved the bunk beds. Room had all the standard amenities needed. Bathroom was well sized and clean! Hotel facilities: A communal area on each floor with towels, irons, kitchen and dinning facilities, toilets and paid laundry facilities was also very useful. Staff: all team members were very friendly and helpful, from checking to daily interactions and checkout. Location: perfectly located in a quiet alley within a 2min walk to Myeongdong Street and 5 mins from 2 train stations. Shopping, dining, excitement, all located a few steps away! I'd highly recommend Hotel Myeongdongjang, 5 stars in all facets: room and facilities, cleanliness, location and customer service. Will definitely stay at Hotel Myeongdong again without any hesitation.

The receptionist on the 17th floor was very patient, kind and went out of her way to ensure all of my needs were met including accommodations, breakfast, and the limousine bus to the airport. The General Manager, Kevin Kim, who was overseeing the breakfast was remarkable and I was treated by him as if I was family. The breakfast buffet was a fantastic fusion of fresh Korean and western style offerings. My only disappointment was the sparse gym. The hotel is also close to several subway and bus stops and conveniently located near the Lotte department store and all of the amazing food vendors. Thanks again Mr. Kim for a great stay.
