Price Drop Protection™ for Gold and Platinum One Key members In addition to the Expedia terms of use and the One Key terms, these terms and conditions govern Price Drop Protection when included with One Key Gold or Platinum membership on selected Expedia app flight bookings.

 

What is Price Drop Protection?

Price Drop Protection is available to One Key Gold or Platinum members who are signed in to their One Key account on the Expedia app (UK version), and book selected flights that show (on the flights details screen) Price Drop Protection is included. If the price of your flight drops on Expedia after booking, we will award you a Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award for the price difference, issued in OneKeyCash™. Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Awards issued under the One Key Price Drop Protection programme may be subject to additional restrictions, such as a cap on the amount of OneKeyCash that will be awarded and/or frequency of use limitations. In addition to the limitations outlined in these terms and conditions, additional restrictions may be shown to you prior to making your booking.

 

How it works

After booking on the Expedia app (UK version) and until the day your flight is scheduled to depart, we automatically check the price of your exact flight on Expedia once every 24 hours. Price Checks are based on the flight details you booked, including, for example, the same carrier, route, flight time, travel dates, cabin and fare class. As a reminder, your flight details are available under Trips.

If the price of your flight drops on Expedia, you’ll get the difference in OneKeyCash (subject to any limitations displayed prior to booking). Your Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award will be based on the lowest confirmed Price Check. We’ll keep you informed (e.g. by email, push notifications) when Price Drop Protection is included on your flight, if there have been any price changes by the day your flight is scheduled to depart and, where applicable, the amount of OneKeyCash awarded.

 

How to get Price Drop Protection

As a One Key Gold or Platinum member, sign in on the Expedia app (UK version) and book a flight that shows (on the flight details screen) Price Drop Protection is included. Once a qualifying flight is booked, Price Drop Protection will be active and you will receive notifications about any price drops.

 

How to check for price changes yourself

Visit the Price Drop Protection Dashboard to initiate real-time Price Checks. This way, you can make sure you are looking at the most up-to-date prices on Expedia. Here’s how to check:

1. Open your flight itinerary

2. Under Price Drop Protection, follow View price changes.

3. You can check for price changes on the Price Drop Protection Dashboard from the day you book until the day your flight departs.

 

Price Check searches consider prices on Expedia only. No Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award will be issued based on prices shown on other apps or websites.

 

How to get your Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award

We want to make things easy and hassle-free for you. If your flight price goes down, just sit back and relax because we’ll automatically add the price difference in OneKeyCash (subject to any limitations displayed prior to booking) into your One Key account after you complete your trip. If the price goes down multiple times, your Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award will be based on the lowest Price Check confirmed on the Price Drop Protection Dashboard.

 

The Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award will be added to your One Key account after you complete your trip. You can also track your Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award by clicking on View price history on your Expedia itinerary.

 

Other terms and conditions:

1. One Key Gold or Platinum members must be signed in on the latest version of the Expedia app (UK version) and book a flight that shows Price Drop Protection is available on the flight details screen.

2. A "Price Check" determines whether there is an exact match of the original Expedia itinerary on flights available for all listed travellers based on the details of the booking, including, but not limited to: the same carrier, route, flight time, travel dates, cabin, fare class, base fare, taxes and any mandatory fees charged by airports or airlines. Any additional fees or costs (such as any card or payment fee, or purchases of checked baggage and seat selection) are not considered.

3. Price Checks only consider prices that are available to the general public on Expedia. Special discounted prices, such as prices offered as part of a flight + hotel travel combination or Member Prices are not checked, as they are not eligible for a Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award.

4. If a Price Check identifies a lower price on Expedia, the difference between the lower price and the price originally paid for the flight(s) on the Expedia itinerary will be confirmed.

5. When Price Drop Protection is included, Expedia will automatically conduct Price Checks on Expedia for the flight(s) listed on the original Expedia itinerary once every 24 hours.

6. When included, Price Drop Protection gives One Key Gold and Platinum members the ability to initiate a Price Check by clicking the designated Price Drop Protection Dashboard link on the Expedia itinerary.

7. The "Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award" is the difference between the price you paid for your original flight booking (excluding any additional fees or costs such as any card or payment fee or purchases of checked baggage or seat selection) and the lowest confirmed Price Check on the Price Drop Protection Dashboard. The Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award may be subject to additional terms, conditions and limitations, which will be shown prior to booking.

8. The Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award, if any, will be issued as OneKeyCash and added to your One Key account after all travellers complete the trip as booked.

9. If Price Checks confirm more than one lower price on an exact match of the original Expedia itinerary, only one Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award will be issued in an amount equal to the lowest confirmed Price Check (subject to any limitations displayed prior to booking) as compared to the price paid for the flight(s) on the original Expedia itinerary.

10. Any changes to flight(s) on the original Expedia itinerary by the traveller(s) and/or airline(s) may result in: (i) cancellation of Price Drop Protection and (ii) forfeiture of any Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award.

11. In order to be eligible for a Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award, travel, as reflected on the original Expedia itinerary, must be completed by all travellers. If it is not, Price Drop Protection will be cancelled.

12. Price Drop Protection and OneKeyCash have no cash value.

13. If the Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award is calculated in a currency different to the currency associated with your One Key Account, the value of the OneKeyCash Award for a relevant booking will be converted to the currency associated with your One Key account, based on the exchange rate applicable at the time the trip is completed.

14. Price Drop Protection is included only on selected flights that are expressly identified as including Price Drop Protection prior to booking.

15. Eligibility for a Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award will be determined by Expedia, acting reasonably.

16. Additional limitations on the Price Drop Protection OneKeyCash Award, such as a cap on the amount of OneKeyCash that will be awarded, and/or frequency of use limitations, will be shown prior to booking.

17. Price Drop Protection is provided as a programme benefit to One Key Gold and Platinum members and is subject at all times to the One Key Terms and Conditions. OneKeyCash is not redeemable for cash and can only be used on Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo. Any OneKeyCash Award will be added to your One Key account in accordance with the One Key Terms and Conditions.
