They were extremely kind with us. For my birthday they have prepared a table with a birthday card and decor and since we had to leave so early the next morning, they have prepared a bag with sandwiches, yogurt, fruits and drinks for the trip. As previous commentators have noted, the breakfast is noteworthy. With the owners and family living and active on site, this is a bed and breakfast and not a hotel. This may suit some guests but not all. The rooms are well designed with a nice balcony and plenty of hanging space, though some may dislike the open bathroom arrangement. This is purely subjective. The wellness area is of high quality with a good sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, though it can be busy during peak periods. Far enough away, but not too far away from everything. Room was roomy, comfortable and clean, but a bit noisy if you're below heavy walkers. Paying up for the Matterhorn view balcony was worth the money, just don't appreciate the smoking policy on the balconies. I don't smoke and don't like sitting on the balcony smelling other people smoke. Service was good and breakfast was better than average with cook-to-order eggs.
