"This accomodation has been the best we’ve experienced so far on our trip. The bed was large and comfortable , the living area and kitchen were just right and the bathroom with bath was wonderful . It was lovely and quiet in spite of being close to shops. It was easy walking distance to bus station and pubs. Overall a terrific place to base ourselves whilst exploring Yorkshire. And we loved the heated floors☺️"

"The Sty is a wonderful conversion. It’s spacious and has everything you need, including some lovely extras like slippers and dressing gowns; the latter we didn’t need, but a nice touch. Being able to do our washing in the middle of a 5–week multi-stop trip was very convenient, especially with the nice big drying rack and iron and board. Car access is a bit tight, especially when you’re used to lots of space, but we managed!! Angie was very helpful when we arrived - the lockbox is hiding in plain...

"Absolutely amazing stay in the Garden House. The photos don't do it justice, a great space for relaxing, catching up with friends and partying. We were a group of 8, and having separate beds with all bedrooms with ensuite was ideal. "Colton Loft was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that one would wish, situated in a beautiful quiet village with the helpful host living just next door. The 3 local pubs Plum and Partridge, Carlton Inn and the Fauconberg were all very good. Exploring York was also easy with the use of the excellent Rawcliff Bar park and ride."

"A lovely little property, tucked out of the way 15 minutes walk from one of the gates to the city of York. We parked the car and then left it there. There were local buses but we didn't feel the need to use them. A very modern downstairs bathroom. The stairs were narrow but were aware of this in the comprehensive details. "A smart little house within short walking distance of all the city centre attractions. Well equipped and decorated tastefully throughout. We found it a little draughty in places but it was a particularly cold weekend! The only criticism was that the welcome pack was extremely basic and we felt it was well below the standard of the house itself. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this property."

"A very handy location with easy on-street parking right in front of the house. Well-equipped kitchen with complimentary, quality coffee and tea. Clean, up-to-date bathroom and towels with quality complimentary shampoo and shower gels. Comfortable master bedroom (as in photo) with good quality mattress, though the other two bedrooms had much lower beds which had less comfortable mattresses. Overall, accommodation was fine for a family of four, though there was no wardrobe hanging space available...

"We loved this house. It was beautifully set up with excellent amenities. We loved the cinema room and especially enjoyed watching the rugby on the big screen! Location is great with an easy 15 minute walk into town. Highly recommend."

"Constant, very loud, drunken stupidity made for a pretty sleepless night. Opposite 24 hour McDonald's. Really strong room fragrance in the kitchen was really off-putting and made me wonder what smells they were trying to conceal. Window sills not clean."
