Timanfaya National Park – One of Lanzarote’s biggest attractions, Timanfaya National Park is home to a unique landscape of lava flows, dormant volcanoes and spent cones. Puerto del Carmen – One of the most popular destinations on Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen boasts a vibrant nightlife, great beaches and a choice of activities. Head to the waterfront to explore the resort’s liveliest restaurants and bars.

Playa Blanca – Popular with families, couples and visitors looking to experience a quieter side of Lanzarote, Playa Blanca is home to some of the most beautiful, and secluded, beaches on the island. Head to the Papagayo Beaches for soft, golden sand, turquoise waters and wall-to-wall sunshine.

Things to See in Lanzarote

Thanks to its otherworldly landscape, many of Lanzarote’s most famous attractions come from the natural world. From the volcanoes and lava fields of the Timanfaya National Park to the Jameos del Agua, incredible rock formations created when underground lava tunnels collapsed, exposing the subterranean world to the sky. Another of Lanzarote’s famous natural attractions is the Cueva de los Verdes, a spectacular lava tube that’s home to an underground concert hall. During your time on Lanzarote you can also see The Cactus Garden, a large, landscaped area that’s home to over 1000 plant species, and Castillo de San Gabriel, an imposing 16th century castle located on a tiny islet off of the coast of Lanzarote.
