"Lovely place, great location on the high street. Private, off street parking is very helpful - the entrance to it is through a very narrow archway which was a tight squeeze for an SUV. "Very much a Ghosts of Motley Hall hotel. I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to my room yet the hotel seemed to have very few guests - not sure what that was all about. The staff do try their best but the place seems to be run by management from an Agatha Christie novel. My room had such a tiny bathroom too."

"Stayed for 2 nights and could not fault the room and the breakfast was really good. However we decided to order a snack from the menu one evening. I ordered a sandwich, the menu stated fresh bloomer bread, brown or white, tuna, spring onion, mayonnaise and black pepper. When I received this it was 2 thin slices of 50/50 bread, no spring onion and the thinnest filling of tuna, more like spread. The charge for this was £8.00!! Definitely not worth the cost."
