The location is close enough to easily walk to the city center but far enough away for it to be quiet when the city is bustling at night. We had a room with a terrace view of the city and enjoyed the couple hours we were able to sit out there. For example, we had a bottle of wine that needed a corkscrew, and they provided not only a corkscrew, but a bucket full of ice. The view from the balcony overlooking Siena really gorgeous. And the location being right beside the city old mediaeval Fortress wall was quite cool to be able to walk around and see the sites.
