Step back in time when visiting Dent, with its narrow, cobbled main street, white-walled cottages, ancient village church, cafés and pubs. Set in a deep, narrow valley, Dent, in Cumbria, is one of the loveliest villages in Dentdale. As well as being home to part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Dent is only 15 miles from the Lake District National Park. There are miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore. The Pennine Cycleway passes through Dent on its 350-mile route between Derby and Berwick-upon-Tweed, and there are also some excellent local loops that explore the countryside around the village. The picturesque River Dee is nearby with lovely riverside walks and fishing on offer.
