"Very last minute booking. Recently my mother passed away and I was feeling very down, so my husband booked a surprise trip for me, so we could go to my favourite place in Cornwall. Wonderful greeting when we arrived in the pouring rain, lovely staff (Mandy) and when we needed something a little later on, again, a fantastic reception(Jo),so helpful. In the morning we explained to one of the staff (Mel) that I’d lost mum, as she could see I was upset. How wonderful she was with me, so, so kind. All the staff were very caring. Honestly wish I’d not been so upset but I guess that’s life, but all the staff were absolutely amazing and so understanding. The room was great, with lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom and a fab shower too. Very clean and tidy room and a comfy bed. And the breakfast was amazing too, along with great views of the golf course. We will definitely return and a big shout out to the wonderful staff. "

"We were impressed with the warmth of the hospitality we received at this quaint hotel. The gentleman opened the pool just for us for a quick dip even though it was closing very soon. The pool was so warm , especially in the pouring rain - lovely fun. The staff were very smiley, genuine, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend "

"We loved our family stay at Towerhill. It is a beautifully and meticulously restored historic house. One gorgeous bedroom dates from 1614; the family has been there since 1794. There are excellent mod cons that are beautifully blended, and which make it home-y and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed as are the baths, and the beds are comfortable. It is beautifully decorated and there is much family history - including a gorgeous engraved map of Cornwall that was created by an ancestor. Two sitting rooms and a beautiful garden with tables and seating make many comfortable gathering spaces for meals, games and conversation. The location is convenient to shopping for eating in, and close to an award winning pub for eating out. Bodmin itself is a wonderful central location: easy trips to restaurants in the other towns, and convenient for excursions to the north coast, the south coast and many other places / attractions. It’s very near wonderful walks on Bodmin Moor as well as along the Fowey River and on parkland near Lanhydrock (a super National Trust house.). Richard, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, and a mine of information on places to visit, as well as on the house and its history. There was a lovely welcome basket of goodies plus get-started fridge supplies, including all the makings of a proper cream tea, a bottle of Prosecco, and milk, eggs, butter and bread. I would love to stay here again!"

"We stayed in February this year and the hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was spotless and we had a huge bathroom. We just wanted a weekend away and it was perfect, we had a few ideas about what we wanted to do and where to eat but the hosts were really helpful with their suggestions. Saw lots of birds in the garden whilst we were eating our breakfast :) Thank you for a lovely stay. "

"Great find, extensive car park, very comfortable room with everything you need and a lovely touch was a decanter with a little sherry in for a pre dinner tipple. Food was good with an extensive menu and friendly helpful staff. All in all a great 2 night stay in this lovely hotel. Ideally situated for Eden project visit, would definitely recommend."
