Charming historic stone cottage in fabulous central location. Beamed ceilings, shuttered sash windows, window seats. Quality amenities including 4k smart TVs, smart speaker, woodburner, hotel quality linen and a courtyard garden. Fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher. Fast reliable wi-fi; suitable for working from cottage. Main bedroom has king bed with smart TV. Attic bedroom has a superking bed which can be made into twins on request. Attic room also has leather sofa and smart TV.

What a beautiful cottage. Had everything you could wish for, was spotless throughout and our little dog Toby settled down immediately, he felt very at home. Slept like babies in the most large comfy bed. Will we be back, you can put your money on it. Thank You!

So glad I found this!
This cottage was absolutely ideal for our short break. The quality of information from the owners was excellent, and the location couldn’t be better (as it happens, very near our bus stop — we got a bus almost door-to-door from our home in York). The cottage is comfortable, well furnished and well equipped, with a special mention for the plentiful and luxurious towels. Definitely recommended!

The Bluebird Cottage was perfect in the best location to the main shopping street as well as the bus route. It was charmingly decorated and stocked with everything we needed and more. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t nice enough to spend time in the quaint back courtyard. Maybe next time…

Perfect location
Bluebird cottage was even better than described. Fabulous bed on the top floor, the most comfortable we have had in a rental. Lovely to have an outside space. Everything very well presented. We wanted a base from which to visit the area and found it great for the coast and inland, lots of English Heritage properties worth visiting.
