Farmstay in Occitanie

"The fireplace could not be used. The filtration of the swimming pool was only on in the morning. Therefore it was not Cleary clean. At the end of our holiday the technician made the swimming pool clean, and de filtration on going. This was late, we liked to have a clean swimming pool in the earlier days of our holiday. We asked for it, but the cleaning was 1 day earlier then respected."

"The address given is not accurate and it took us ages to find, we had to hope that the host read the messages, he then gave us the address. This is listed as an English speaking host which is not accurate. We struggled to communicate. The place is advertised with a pool but this was out of bounds due to the drought, we understand this but we should have known before arrival. We had no hot water at all during our stay and we could not contact the host despite messaging and ringing the door...

"We had an amazing time, the house was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Christiane and her family were so welcoming and friendly , we had fresh eggs on arrival, fresh strawberries and cherries as well. Thanks to iPhone we could communicate but to be honest they and us totally understood each other. We loved the place and would definately stay there again. Les vignes is a lovely village and again people so friendly.❤️❤️"

"We had a fabulous holiday at Mas de la Rivière. The house is spacious and well-equipped and the private and partially shady terrace with its beautiful trees and wisteria-covered outdoor dining space was a godsend on the hottest of days. We enjoyed the beautiful clean pool and after-dinner boules on the floodlit pitch in the garden. Our dog enjoyed swimming in the river Tet next to the house and there are enormous sandy beaches nearby as well as some pretty rockier coves close to the Spanish...

"Exactly what we needed - time to relax in perfect peace and tranquility. The house is in a lovely setting and has a number of seating areas from which to enjoy the scenery. It was full of butterflies due to the surrounding wild meadows and the only noise is that of the tree frogs. The pool is very private and is a good size so ideal for swimming. Although the house is set well away from everything, there are so many places to visit within reasonable driving distance. We really enjoyed our day...

"Classic stone home on 3 levels with spiral stone stairways and plenty of room. Fully appointed kitchen with dining up 2 steps with plenty of room for the 6 of us. Outside seating areas (2) are wonderful; one just outside dining room for easy access to kitchen that facilitates outside dining, and one expansive lounging area through short garden up a few steps into the pool area."

"This was the most perfect place to celebrate my 50th birthday with family. The two buildings are both unique, interesting and very easy to stay in. The main house had everything we needed and the garden and swimming pool were the finishing touches on a what is a truly spectacular place. Highly recommended."

"This is a spacious house, able to accommodate our 3 generations of family, totalling 16, making use of the annex as well. The kitchen is well equipped so there was no problem catering for this number. The rooms are simply furnished but everything needed is provided. There are plenty of toys for children and of course the lovely pool is a great attraction.The area is very peaceful and rural. There are walks from the house, including through the woods to Aurignac in about 50 mins."

"We had a brilliant time! The house is really well set up for large groups with kids. Nathalie was lovely, available if we needed her but not at all instrusive. She was helpful and relaxed. I was happy there was a cover for the pool and that it was cleaned daily. The outside eating area is great, so is the kitchen. We loved the pétanque (floodlight too!) and the outdoor seating area with comfy chairs and fairy lights. The dogs were around quite a lot and the kids loved that! The area is amazing....

"Lovely stay. Eloi is a superb host, for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. The property is in a superb location, with fabulous views over the mountain to the border with Spain. Privacy is guaranteed, but you do have to enjoy isolation, as the nearest shops and bars are a hair-raising 25 minute drive up and down the mountain on a very narrow, twisty road. "We are a group of 8 and just had the most fantastic 2 weeks in this house. Views are spectacular, the house is well equipped and very spacious and the pool was a good size and a nice temperature. All bedrooms open up on to the balcony where you can watch the sun rise & deer grazing on the garden. Buzzards & kites flying over every day. Market at Prades on Tuesday is worth a visit and also Fort Liberia - if you don’t take the 800 steps up then be prepared for a adventurous & very bumpy jeep...
