Mercure City Nijmegen Centre Hotel
4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, 740 reviews
"The location of Mercure City hotel is perfect, with easy access to train station (very short walk), buses and walking distance to Nijmegen center. I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights as I had training at Radboudumc. The hotel is clean, safe and has good food options for breakfast and dinner (during weekdays). I would definitely stay again at Mercure City Nijmegen Centre Hotel. "

Mercure City Nijmegen Centre Hotel
Hotel Courage Waalkade
3.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, 300 reviews
"The property is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was good. You can't park directly at the hotel but there is an underground garage 5 minutes walk across from the park behind the hotel. They do let you pull up to unload and load luggage for check-in/out and discount the parking garage fee. The Riverside view was spectacular and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I would stay again."

A guest who chooses a historic hotel has the opportunity to stay in a place officially recognised with a national historic designation. These types of hotels in Nijmegen typically preserve original characteristics like traditional architecture and period features in their communal spaces or guestrooms.

The two are similar. The term “historic hotel” is more common in the U.S., whereas “heritage hotel” is common in Asia and Europe. In Nijmegen, booking a historic hotel doesn’t mean you will stay in a place that’s uncomfortable for guests or simply rundown.
