I have booked a room through Expedia on this hotel, unfortunately when I arrived in the property the receptionist told me there was no room available and as result I couldn’t stay there. As I was leaving the hotel, the receptionist followed and told me that there was a room available, but I the payment must be done in cash and not by card (I found it very strange, provided that there was a card reader machine). I told the receptionist that I didn’t have cash on me and he showed me a cash machine near by. When I was introduced to the room (acc there was 5 rooms available, but I guess this one wasn’t being used) and to my surprise, the room wasn’t cleaned, the wardrobe was damaged (one door was about to fall). I said no, that I didn’t want to stay in that room, and the staff got me another room (but the conditions for this one, was as the same as the previous one) which I accepted as it was getting late and I didn’t want to look for some other places. I wanted to stay 3 nights, but because of all of this, I stood only one and moved to another one. I assume that whatever I have paid, it stayed with the staff working in that day, rather than going to the hotel finance.
Apart from the people from the restaurant of the hotel (who very politely served me), my stay wasn’t as pleasant as I expected.
This is a very modest hotel providing triple excellent service. I did have a slight delayed check in due to the receptionist who spoke very little English not understanding my insistence of prior booking despite having the corroborative evidence. Eventually I was given keys to the room and settled into my stay. It is located pretty central to most vital iconic landmarks including Museums, restaurants and supermarkets. The airconditioned room allocated was small but very clean. Buffet Breakfast in the morning was satisfying. There is a restuarant for other meals but I decided to treat myself to the street bukateria at the back of the hotel. The Funge Beans and Fish was fantastic!!!
