"Very nice hotel, central to the Messe and Ruttenschied which in Essen is very important. It was clean, comfortable with a friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be challenging in the area, but the hotel has its own parking as well. This is the first time I have stayed but will be looking to it as my first choice from now on as I need to visit the city."

"The checkin was easy. We were confused about the parking situation. We had to go inside and find out where to park. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. The staff was very helpful and did everything they could to make our stay better. The Christmas markets were across the street from the hotel which made it nice for visiting day or night. Dining choices were abundant within easy walking of the hotel. "

"A short walk from Essen train station, the hotel is reasonable for the price. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, with good heating and air-conditioning unit, a kettle with tea and coffee, a complimentary bottle of water. My room overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel so it was nice and peaceful, facing away from the busy road. The room wasn't spotless, but it was clean enough. "Property and rooms were older looking. The lounge was unstaffed and did not appear functional. Rooms were large. Breakfast looked good, with one guy making eggs but no one was there. "
