Very attractive, comfortable, modern and well designed hotel. Located in the heart of the very noisy Seel Street entertainment district, so a great base for visiting the city centre, but not a good choice for those looking for peace and quiet.

The first thing I noticed was that the room smelled musty like an unchanged, cat litter box. That’s because they have no air conditioning in the hotel. They literally gave us a desk fan to cool our room. The only problem with using the desk fan is the hotel is in the heart of the nightclub scene and music goes until four in the morning the receptionist Katie told us that the club stop playing at 12:30 which is technically correct their club stops playing at 12:30. Every other club in the neighborhood plays until four in the morning making it impossible to sleep Iggy, the night we begged for a change to a different room couldn’t even accommodate a simple change to a room in a quarter apart because he didn’t know who would requested them for the following day upon checking in instead of accommodating the guess that we’re already there. The room had absolutely no amenities half the outlets didn’t work Emma at the front desk told us that it’s standard to not have an outlet in the bathroom in the UK which I find laughable. I have stayed in HOTEL anywhere in the world that doesn’t have an outlet in the bathroom. There wasn’t so much water in the room soap and shampoo and nothing else Premises unless you want a snack. Had to fight with the manager to the courtesy of checking out a day early and getting a refund from a hotel that was abysmal. I have traveled all over the world. I’ve stayed in hotels over 40 states in the United States and I have never stayed in one as bad as this.

We stayed for 2 nights in early April and the room was very warm. We couldn't open the window overnight as the hotel is right in the middle of the late night entertainment district and the noise of thudding music would have been too much. (The noise didn't bother us with the window shut.) There was a fan in the room (I knew there was no air con) but I didn't fancy pushing round warm air. Also the soft close mechanism on the doors either doesn't work very well or is broken (we did mention this after our first night). This meant that every time someone in rooms near us went in or out, their door would slam shut! I've never known such a loud noise in any other hotel were stayed in. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Didn't see anyone else. Housekeeping is minimal. Clean towels left on bed (no clean bath mat though so we stood on a towel the second morning) and bins emptied but bed not made and tea/coffee not replenished so I asked for more. We paid extra for a larger room and it was nice and big. Hotel not for us though so we won't be back.
