Lovely spacious room with en-suite.
Really enjoyed breakfast.
All positive and no negative feedback.
Would recommend and will stay there again next time we are in the area.
This lovely old pub in the heart of in the Sussex countryside is cosy and welcoming. It's a hotel/inn, pub, and Jamaican-focused restaurant all rolled into one.
The welcome was as warm as the Caribbean from hosts Barrie (Jamaican) and Drexie (German), the husband and wife combo running this place. There's a nice garden in the back for summer nights and BBQs.
The rooms are pleasant with traditional touches and modern fittings and wonderful linens. The shower is a bit weak.
The bar is well stocked with a wide range of beers and a good wine list from wine buff Barrie.
Full English breakfast was wonderful, high quality. We noted the appealing Jamaican lunch and dinner menu and will be coming back for that.
