Beautiful location with a wonderful view of the lake. Amazing breakfast brought to the room as a part of the standard reservation. Our favorite hotel during our week and a half visit to New Zealand!

Bathroom was too cold, and water pressure of the shower was too week. In room breakfast was good, but the earliest option 8:30am is too late for us.

Perfect location. Highly recommend the rooms with the sky view, even though it was really cloudy out the window we could see so many stars through the skylight which was really magical. Would love to have stayed for longer!

Room was spacious! Room design was very modern. The cool thing was the stargazing skylight. There was a slope or ramp to go up the 2nd level rooms so totally easy and effortless. THe large window overlooking the lake and the mountain range was so nice. We could see the sunrise from our bed and sunset colours on the mountains while sipping coffee at the table too. Room came with a bathtub but there was no bubble bath soap to use. Anyways no time as we went stargazing till late. Just 5min drive to Church of Good Shepard. It's the only hotel that provided toiletries including toothbrushes, disposable slippers, shower cap, etc. Minibar had payable items for convenience at reasonable prices. The in-room breakfast was superb. Many options to choose from and they were flexible to change some of the items. Near a petting zoo and we stopped there to watch and take some photos in the morning before driving off. Location is good. We voted this the second best hotel of the 7 we stayed in our NZ trip. The only down thing was the shallow sink and it was also a bit stuck. So tended to splash out water onto the sink countertop.

Great location. There is a ramp or stairs to reception and rooms. Breakfast was good, we chose to have it delivered to the room and sit and eat while enjoying the view. Easy walk to shops/restaurants and the Church of the Good Shepherd.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Unique and Memorable Stay Galaxy Hotel is a truly unique and charming boutique property. The hotel is petite, cozy, and beautifully designed, creating a very special atmosphere. What made the stay unforgettable was the incredible roof window above the room. Being able to lie in bed and look directly at the night sky was magical. Lake Tekapo is famous for its dark skies, and the rooftop window gave me a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the stars from the comfort of my room. The experience felt peaceful, intimate, and unlike any other hotel stay I’ve had. If you’re looking for something special and want to experience the beauty of the night sky, I highly recommend Galaxy Hotel. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
