There are some simple steps the owner could take to significantly enhance the renter’s experience: We missed some items in the home scissors (can’t bring those on the plane!) cooking oil and salt and pepper. My apartment had everything I needed and the receptionists were very helpful. Two things to consider: There's no air conditioning which wasn't too big an issue in December but may be over the summer.
