I had an issue on check in as the receptionist insisted on a cash payment for the new local tourist tax. As it wasnt a massive amount and I was tired i just paid it however on review it looks like expedia had collected this tax already. Location is convenient. Easy to call Grab. Restaurants are located within 10min of walk. I recommend Restauron Ipoh 新怡保飯店 for dinner. Inside the room, clean, tidy and you have everything you need, tooth brush, tooth paste, coffee machines, nespresso capsule etc. air con is strong, bed is comfortable, can relax after a hot day’s walk. Breakfast is made to order, fresh and delicious. Staff are exceptional friendly. I stay in many 5-stars hotel but nobody like Bedrock who will bring you to the room and show you where the amenities are. Debbie, the hotel manager, is very friendly and helpful on any question you may have. I'm so glad to have found this fascinating boutique hotel owned by Debbie and her husband. She gave us a warm welcome and was so helpful with everything. The nasi lemak and white coffee at breakfast was super shiok too! It's close to the old town, and there are lots of food options all around.
