"This is a well-placed B&B for the centre of Huddersfield. Everyone is extremely nice and the facilities are good if not bang up-to-date. the breakfast is excellent, parking very convenient and it's a nice touch to be able to bring 'takeaway' food into the hotel's conservatory to eat. "OK, so we quickly realised this place is being used for socially housing homeless/asylum/those in need. Receptionist who greeted us, young lad, very pleasant and polite and helpful. Breakfast which we paid for on the day was varied and just alright. " This hotel is certainly outdated and in need of a refurbishment. That said the room was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lunch which was good with a selection for vegetarian and lovely puddings. This is an ideal place for walkers or cyclists who maybe on a limited budget but want privacy and a lovely warm bath at the end of a day on the Pennines. "
