The property was stunning. Attention to detail was amazing, and all the staff were very well-trained and welcoming. The cabin was very well finished with quality fittings, and had everything you could wish for. Continental breakfast was good, with a wide variety of items. Only slight negative was, where our cabin was next to reception, it was quite noisy. We could hear every word said and people were walking past us to get to their cabins, and we could hear them clearly. Other than that, it was perfect.

Our stay was excellent. Our bed was super comfortable and all the details in the room were just perfect! Alonso was a perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed. Will at the bar was also very friendly. I recomend the Ocean Mist to anyone that wants to stay in a place out of the ordinary and who enjoys attention to detail.

What a fabulous place to stay in Edinburgh. The boat is amazing, the rooms were lovely and the staff were so attentive. Just 4 stops on the new tram from the centre, so convenient. A beautiful bar and delicious breakfast. We will definitely stay here again and for longer. Can't wait!

No words to describe this place, simply amazing. One of the best places we have ever stayed. They set the bedroom up for my husband for his birthday which was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff either. Also, the most comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in! Will definitely be back

Lovely unique place to stay. Perfectly situated for low cost tram into city centre or airport . Nice breakfast and great place to have it ( upper deck bar) even if a little squeezed for space . very unique

Wonderful!
Without a doubt, this is my favourite ever hotel! Everything about it is perfect: location, staff, rooms, breakfast - I can’t fault it at all. This was our first stay and we will definitely be back!

Lovely experience
Wonderful and completely different to anywhere we've stayed before. Cabin was spacious and very clean and comfortable with nice touches to enhance the stay. The boat may be sound proofed from outside but not internally and the plumbing noises were hysterical. It was lovely at night laying in bed seeing the reflected ripples on the ceiling from through the cabin windows. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We had a very lovely time at Ocean Mist. It was clean and comfortable. The only downside was our room was very noisy until 00.30 hrs due to staff in upstairs bar making excessive noise whilst I imagine they tidied up for night. I Did phone reception to advise them however they seemed unconcerned and did not even apologise. They advised the staff would soon be finished up. The noise stopped approx 00-30hrs and restarted at approx 06-00hrs whilst I imagine they started preparing the breakfast in the bar. When checking out, the person was unaware we had made complaint and just said they would speak with the staff concerned. No goodwill gesture was offered to us at all for our disturbed night. At a cost of £490 for two rooms, this was very disappointing to note.

A proper 5-star treatment
A treat. This was a proper 5 star hotel, with excellent rooms, high level of standards, and impeccable service. From the littlest things to the staff holding the door open, to explaining the boat's history, to knowing my name, what a luxury service. Thank you for having me. Rooms had perfect cleanliness, and high level of facilities overall. Beautiful bar, delicious breakfast, and chill lounge on the top floor. Surrounding area is quiet, food everywhere, pubs and restaurants everywhere, tram straight to the airport close by, and buses close by. Walkable area, mall nearby, windy.

Everything ship shape !
What a fantastic find, a really unique experience. very quirky as its got an amazing history, the ship is finished to a high standard and the art deco theme fits perfectly, staff are very welcoming and look after you so well, breakfast is very good. If looking for something a bit different this is a great option. Will definitely return / stay again in the future

Fantastic!!!!
Booked two cabins to take our friends down to leith for a birthday night. Luckily got packed in one of the Ocean Mist spaces but there is plenty of parking round about. The cabins were fantastic; comfy and spotless. The staff were excellent, just the kind of helpful, happy staff you’d appreciate in the hospitality business. Lots of restaurants and pubs locally and the tram is nearby if you want to take a short trip into Edinburgh. We do lots of weekend trips and this ship hotel ranks one of the best accommodations we have stayed in. 11/10. We will definitely return.

If you love ships but worry about being seasick then fret no more! This fabulous vessel is moored in a landlocked harbour in the atmospheric port of Leith. This converted 1919 minesweeper offers a unique combination of superb luxury and the original ambience of being aboard a proper ship. The art deco cabins are beautifully furnished with shuttered portholes transporting you back in time. All that's missing is the hum of the engines and an announcement from the Captain. This is unmatched with anything we've stayed in before. Let the excellent staff, or should I say 'crew' complete in nautical garb, guide you through this outstanding 'hotel on the sea'.

Exceptional hotel, we stayed here for New Years Eve. It was so special, beautiful space, amazing breakfast, fantastic cocktails at the bar and the staff were incredible throughout the stay. This is without doubt the best hotel experience we’ve ever stayed at and cannot recommend it enough. Leith is full of top rated restaurants, cafes, bakeries only a few steps off the boat. We can’t wait to return next year.

Ocean Mist, a little gem from the ‘Belle Epoque’.
Ocean Mist is quite unique. The boat oozes luxury all the way through, from the ‘red carpet’ gangway to the copper ceiling bar. The attention to detail is sublime. The cabins are spacious and beautifully appointed, likewise the en suite is equally luxurious. The crew all wear smart maritime uniforms, and Gordon and the crew were super attentive and helpful. Staying aboard Ocean Mist is like staying aboard a luxury yacht back in the hay day of the ‘Belle Epoque’. The area around the boat is historic, and has numerous great restaurants and ‘watering holes’. We only stayed one night, but wish we had stayed for a week. We cannot wait to return. Thank you for a truly memorable stay.

A fantastic and unique stay
A really unique place to stay, with great service. Our room was decorated with a Happy Birthday banner, balloons and card for us as it was my husbands 50th. A really nice touch. The bar was fab and all the staff were friendly and helpful

Great stay on board Ocean Mist in Leith. Great location with plenty of bars etc close by. Rooms on board are excellent and all newly refurbished. Staff could not be more helpful. Would stay again if in Edinburgh. Tram stop is less than 5 minutes away which makes it easy to access from City Centre

Although parking on site was not the easiest as they only have limited parking available and we had to make arrangements to park elsewhere, the ocean mist met all our expectations. We spent 3 nights on board The decor was incredible and very clean and comfortable. From arrival to leaving, the staff were very friendly and on hand both day and night to assist with any questions or offer assistance if needed. At breakfast a lovely lady called toni was on hand who was really engaging and polite with visitors. Ocean mist is situated only a short distance away from both the sea front (royal yacht britannia) and the tram service into Edinburgh, we found the ocean mist a perfect location to either travel into edinburgh or explore the area of leith itself with its numerous restaurants and bars. We would highly recommend a stay here and will be booking again when we next plan to travel to Edinburgh for the christmas markets.

Shhh don't tell anyone...
The perfect stay, staff were welcoming, considerate and genuine, the room was quirky and stylish, the bed was divine, the breakfast plentiful with so many wonderful bread options. The whole experience was faultless, a wonderful treat. My only tip would be that the smaller berth rooms would be hard to navigate if you have mobility issues as the bed is close to the wall on two sides. Not a problem for us though.
