Lovely hotel set in a lovely area and will definitely stay again. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Restaurant was also very good, but perhaps use hot plates so that the food stays hot longer but still very good food!

We stayed there for one night on the way from Amsterdam to Frankfurt. A uniquely shaped building with a unique history (former monastery and then a nursing home) with a church attached to the building, it has a pretty large outside territory and is surrounded by the woods with hiking trails. We had two rooms with two toilets, a mini fridge, a coffee maker and a kettle in the room. We also were lucky to have a one-of-a kind large balcony. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was great! Definitely recommend! P.S. important note- this hotel doesn’t have AC in rooms (this is typical for many parts of Europe). That was not a problem for us but if it’s important for you and it’s summer outside - this place might not be for you.

Me with a sleeping 3 years old in my arms were welcomed at 03.40 in the morning by a lovely man who was ready to show us to the room. Fast and nice. Thank you very much.

Great experience and beautiful hotel and grounds. Was definitely worth it. Only slightly dissapponting element is that if you broufht food with you, due to COVID-19, they only let you eat it in your room and no where else leading to extra unwanted smells when you slept

Peaceful stay
Nice hotel. Clean and well presented. Room was very small, with me not being able to sit on the chair at the desk. I am on the large side but I think others would struggle too. Was quiet and peaceful, which is probably something to do with it’s past as a monastery.

I got there late the 1st thing they asks for was €2 for the local tax I was a bit surprised that I was only checking in , as normally that’s asked for when you check out , then I ask could I get a late night snack no was the answer this is a 4 star hotel there’s normally a late night snack menu ,and I travel a lot all over the world

Neat concept; beautiful surroundings.
The hotel is huge, or at least seems huge given its layout. We managed to find the chapel and took a quick look inside: very beautiful. A very interesting place for a hotel. Service was good. The room runs a little cold due to single-glazed windows, but he radiators work well and quickly. The restaurant was decent, though perhaps someone overpriced for the quality and portion size (standard for a hotel, though, I suppose).

Quite an old place but nice setting. Room a good size but bathroom a bit mouldy, also no tea or coffee in room and breakfast expensive, no aircon but a fan is supplied. About a 20 min walk to railway station which is not bad, staff friendly to.

Simply not a 4 or even 3 star facility....2 stars
I am reticent to give this review as I booked the hotel on both star rating and guest reviews.4*it is not, not close to being even 3, but as it gets so many good reviews I am confused.Arrived 8.30pm first impression was I was walking into an asylum, very austere reception and receptionist more into talking to a wandering old guy than sorting me. Eventually got her attention, I was then told there was no restaurant or bar on Wednesday (maybe the Hotels.com fault as they claim it is on their website) so after a 6hr drive had to drive into town to find food. Room is nothing more than basic, but bed was clean there was no "normal" hotel items in the room, no information, no menu, no tea making facilities, no toiletries not even a pencil or a single piece of paper. Carpet stained and room generally tired. Went for breakfast following morning, facilities i had not seen night before were a little more amiable so I could why it potentially could get good reviews had the room been at least close to a 3* never mind 4. Breakfast was quite poor, cooked food was dried up, cold was limited. I think this is the worst experience I have had in a very long time I would have been quite happy had they advertised as a 2* had it been classed as a 3*I would have been disappointed but not gutted as I was expecting a 4*

Easy access, excellent value, edge of Deurne
A rather anonymous hotel (no sign) that offers excellent value. It was easy to find with a gps but would not be obvious without one. We stayed two nights. Reception staff was courteous and helpful. Check-in and -out was smooth and the hotel accepts credit cards. Our room was quiet, comfortable and spotless with modern decor. The restaurant serves a nice breakfast with good coffee, though the juice seemed a bit thin. There's lots of off-street parking. The hotel has a conference centre which was idle during our stay.

Looks like an old military hospital outside!
From the outside, this hotel looks really odd, but inside it couldn't be nicer. Great staff (though they had a problem with their printer), lovely room. Shower facility was odd but perfectly usable. Liked the way the heaters were all off and you did what you wanted with them but tuned them off afterwards. Nice breakfast but wasn't clear where it was being served.

Wonderful hotel with great grounds.
Stayed for a few nights as hotel is convenient for Floriade in Venlo. Very well done conversion of old convent. Very modern design while keeping the atmosphere. Rooms are very big for Europe with high ceilings. The restaurant was good. service is slow, but that is a Dutch thing. All restaurants in Holland are slow when it comes to ordering & serving food. Wonderful grounds of the hotel have a small woodland, lake. Lots of bunnies. All very friendly. Nearby Deurne has some decent places to eat. Staff was friendly and efficient. No problems at all. Would certainly stay again.

Sessiz ormanin icinde olan eski bir otel
Her zaman geldiğim bir otel. Sakin fiyati diğerlerine göre uygun. Rahibe okulundan otele dönüşmüş bir otel. Gece duran yaşlı bir bey biraz daha müşteriye saygılı davranmasını tavsiye ederim.

Mooi gerestaureerd pand met hier en daar nog de sfeer van het klooster, met binnentuin. Bedden zijn prima! De kapel zag er ook prachtig uit. In de avond heerlijk gegeten bij Duco’s, kortom voor mij en mijn moeder een lekker weekendje weg!
