First room was dirty so they moved us to a new room that room was also dirty and had black mold around the tub rings on the floor around the trash can...thank god expedia gave me my money back

On my way out I was making sure we had everything. I bent down to unplug my charger and my son says “mom, there’s a sock in the chair” so I reach under and pull it out. It was not a sock. It was someone’s old dirty underwear!!!very dirty

The hotel itself wasn’t terrible. The area outside the hotel was not safe. We watched a man get arrested for stabbing someone in the streets 2 mins from the hotel, and the gas stations were so dirty we walked out. Like food and spilled milk everywhere. Hotel service people were nice they did have security, but our room bathroom was dirty. Hair on the shower walls, floors not clean. I wore flip flops while showering. Gross. For the money we paid they need a new cleaning staff!! It was quiet at night which was nice.

Noise. Early Sunday morning 6.2.24 There was a very loud argument between a man and a woman on the fourth or fifth floor. Both were screaming and it went on for about 45 minutes. There was a loud banging sound too. Hopefully no one was injured during this incident.

Motorcity is our go-to whenever we’re in Detroit. Friendly staff, easy check-in, clean rooms and plenty of dining options. The free parking garage and the fridge in the room is a plus. They never disappoint.
