The rooms were spotless and the view from the veranda room was excellent. The location was also excellent as it was close to the beach and a number of restaurants in Sumner. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.

The room was well appointed and very clean. Gayle had all the dishes and bowls we needed in the little kitchen. The location is fabulous, right across, on a side road, from the beach and a nice long walk along the water. The bed was only a double but that was advertised. If I came again I’d likely choose a larger room. Would absolutely recommend this place.

Cave Rock Rocks

Great location opposite the beach. The room was very spacious, airy, clean and comfortable with a great shower. The kitchen facilities were ideal, too.We received a very warm welcome on our arrival and felt very relaxed in the accommodation and wished we had allowed time to stay an extra night. We can highly recommend Cave Rock Guest House.

I didn't realize just how far away this property was from the airport ($100 Uber ride). It's very clean and the host appreciates it if you let her know that you're showing up late (my train was massively delayed).

This was a great location and fairly priced. The hosts go out of their way to provide extras like each towels. Public transportation to downtown Christchurch and airport is about 1 block away and runs every 15 minutes until late. There are lots of restaurants nearby along with grocery, pharmacy, and coffee shops.
