When a person reads negative reviews there is a sliver of hope that they aren’t accurate. In this case they were actually accurate. The front desk staff the representatives of the resort more or less, were very rude at check in and check out. The resort of massive and the only guidance we got was her pointing a figure in the direction of our room and said see the concierge. The rooms and all indoor areas did not have any working air conditioning. It was miserable!! Hard to sleep and even go to eat because the restaurants were HOT. The restaurants all have to be booked in advance and very hard to book even with the help of a concierge. The food was not good at all. The elevators didn’t work. The beach had a lot of seaweed. The rooms were moldy and outdated. The safe in our room didn’t work. The pools could use an update. That being said, some of the staff did try to go above and beyond and they were obvious. The resort is big but walking around the grounds is too much of a burden because they really are beautiful with the lush trees and all different vegetation. Will I go back or recommend? No. Maybe once the remodel is all done it will be different but it will be hard for me to consider going here again.
