"I didn’t have high hopes for this guest house as it was the cheapest available on the night I needed. I was very pleasantly surprised, friendly welcome, clean room and a week cooked tasty breakfast. If I was being really picky the mattress creaked a lot and the pillow was lumpy but for the money this was very good indeed. "

"Have heard nlt so good things about this hotel in the past but this is the first time I have stayed. It has new owners and well I must say they are turning it around. The price was very competitive and this included breakfast which was very good. The room was a little dated but was very clean, the bathroom is brand new and very clean and modern. "The property is nice but the breakfast is really disappointing but edible. The property has a restaurant on property called The Orangery which is advertised as a premier Fine dining restaurant and serves lunch and dinner. Unfortunately the breakfast apparently is not a part of the fine dining experience. otherwise it’s a lovely place in a good location with a great staff!"

He is so thoughtful and intentional with the way he sets up the rooms, with any needs you might have during your stay there. He’s so friendly & literally reachable in minutes if things don’t go quite right in any aspect of your trip. "Looking for somewhere to stay while attending the Drovers Tryst Walking Festival, this was in a good central location, easy to walk into the town centre, with a supermarket for supplies just round the corner. Excellent value for money. I was welcomed and impressed with the room facilities and the little extras such as bottles of water in the fridge and bathrobes.
