"Hostal Palermo was very well located right in the middle of Las Ramblas. Easy to find and staff friendly. I stayed in a single room which was pretty small, but it was clean and had a door that opened onto the street. Noisy at night, but I had no problem with that as was expecting this in this area of the city. I walked everywhere, to all the attractions and parks and did not need public transport. "Surprisingly good hotel! Staff were excellent and we really liked the gentleman that was at the front desk when we checked in. The room was pretty small, but it was clean well organized and didn't feel cramped. It's a great little place that punches well above it's weight."

"Fantastic staff, hotel is pretty much what it says it is. 2 things to know: #1 there is no desk in the room and it's harder to work cross legged for hours at a time on my bed than it used to be. #2 after about 8pm homeless people sleep on the corner of the block. They're no bother, but it changed my feelings on the area. "
