"Could not fault the spacious room, bed, coffee making facilities, cleanliness or the en suite. Only issue was the ignorant group of foreigners shouting, laughing and up & down the stairs till gone 02:10 in the morning. "

The decor elegant - remodel very well done - its very chic and not done in cheep way - the quality of toiletries and tea in room are high end - organic - wish we could stay here longer. The only thing to watch out for is check-in is closed from 12h-15h. The stairway up to the rooms is a bit narrow. Not a problem but just to be aware if you use oversized luggage. I would defiantly stay here again. "

"Stayed here for my birthday as wanted somewhere close to Frome and Stourhead. Lovely room with everything you need; sympathetically restored old building with 5 bedrooms. Bed very comfortable and shower very good. Stayed for an evening meal and enjoyed the lovely breakfast."

"We came with our 3 year old and 6 year old just for an overnight stay as we had visited Longleat. The hosts were really lovely and we had a little continental breakfast for the next morning with fresh milk and juice in the fridge. The room was spacious with a king sized bed and 2 x singles. Bathroom was spacious with great shower. Outside is a little courtyard plenty of space for the kids to run around. Nice and clean and spacious. Rooms finished to a high standard. "This was a real find. A late decision to stay in the area led us to this real gem. The room was perfect - well decorated and all facilities provided but it is the restaurant that needs to be particularly commended. The food was amazing."

"The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

"A grade II listed property in a historical part of Shepton Mallet. Took time to read up on the area, would recommend everyone to do that, very interesting. Comfortable bed, clean room and great hosts. Some noise from the road adjacent to the Inn, not a deal breaker. Would I stay here again Yes. "

"What a beautiful property. Its a credit to its owners who have not missed anything that makes an overnight stay comfortable. Super clean, upmarket, comfortable and with all the little things that you expect - tea, coffee, biscuits - just those nice little touches. Then, there is the pub, which is simply superb. A classic English pub. What's not to like? And the breakfast was sensational. Highly reccomended. "

The only downside (and it was quite a downside) is that our room was above the kitchen and the door was on an automatic closer which meant it slammed every time it shut. And this started at about 7.00 in the morning...."
