"Absolutely amazing stay. The hotel was beautiful, and very accommodating. We stayed in room 6 in the courtyard, and it was one of the nicest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in, truly beautiful. Really cosy and romantic. We had our dog with us as well, they left a dog bowl and some treats in the room for him which was a lovely addition. Food in restaurant for breakfast and dinner was lovely too. Will definitely be back! "

"Nice overnight stay with my partner. Room spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. A little soft for my liking but I did sleep well. Was very thankful for the fan and I’m used to sleeping with one at home. Delicious food…the steak and ale pie was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast before the long drive home. Would definitely recommend the Captain cook Inn and we would be more than happy to stay again. "

"We really enjoyed our one-night stay at the inn. We managed to snag an amazing deal at half the usual rate. Our 2-bedroom room was very clean - only a couple of snags were experienced. The first sleeping area had no bedside lighting and the second had no accessible mains supply! The breakfast included was excellent. The setting for the inn is fantastic - lovely area to walk around."

"The room was absolutely lovely. Comfortable bed, lovely shower and toiletries, dressing gown available. They have drinks and snacks in the room for you to purchase if you wish. It really is a lovely spot. There isn't a car park but parking in the village was adequate, especially after the pub had cleared out. "Brilliant place for a short stay, we stayed 1 night and it was lovely the room was very clean and tidy the bed was comfortable there are no draws for clothes but for a short stay it didnt matter. Breakfast was included there was a selection of cereal, toast and cooked breakfast to order which was very nice. Fresh juice and tea and coffee only downside you had to pay extra for a latte but not a big deal. Price was perfect as well. The village itself is beautiful so peaceful and quiet. Will be...

"Stayed with friends for 1 night in a room with double sofa bed and separate double bedroom. We couldn’t fault the room or service at all. Staff were friendly and efficient and we felt really welcome. Dinner and breakfast were cooked perfectly and delicious. The setting is beautiful. Lots of opportunity for walks on the site or perfectly located to drive out and visit Yorkshire’s beautiful scenery. The leisure families were great too. Quiet, clean and relaxing.
