Really convenient if you're travelling by train to Newcastle as it's only two minutes away from the station. Clean comfortable rooms in a really quite grand old building. Good breakfast on offer in the restaurant which is open all day. Good value hotel imo.

Well advertising a free pool leisure club and there was a spillage on my first day so didn’t get to try the “free” leisure facilities out. As you can see - I award not compensated even though I could have gone to a few hotels in the same price bracket. I will not go back!!

Was given a room with no windows no natural lights got incredibly stuffy as heating on with no relief of some fresh air felt like a glorified bed x cupboard. Staff were great, I was able to leave my bag at reception next day whilst I explored Newcastle as my train left later in the day. Breakfast was fantastic as ever.

This is a very tired hotel and the room was boiling hot (even with the window open in April). The bed was also very uncomfortable.
